In July 2010, Watson announced an exclusive, worldwide licensing agreement with Itero Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ("Itero"), a venture-backed specialty biopharmaceutical company, to develop and commercialize Itero's recombinant follicle stimulating hormone ("rFSH") product. The product is currently in preclinical development as a biosimilar molecule for the treatment of female infertility. The licensing of rFSH is an example of how we plan to enter biologics, with products that are past the pre-clinical development phase and complement our existing business.
